Despite the fact that I hope for Oscarina to be a scholarship-earning smarty-pants with incredible self esteem that in no way is based on a relationship with a teenage boy, I have to be prepared for the fact that this may be a bit idealized. No child is perfect after all.I don't want to ever be the kind of parent that forces their kid to do anything, but what if she wants to do something that is potentially life-consuming and prohibitively expensive, like gymnastics, or equestrian events?
I don't think the family history is quite there for a sustained foray into the gymnastic arts, no idea about the horses, but what's wrong with the clarinet?
Its boring that's what's wrong. Let's go for gold. Let's spend every weekend chasing the dream.
