A real American Girl

This past weekend Caroline got a visit from Grams and Grumps, and Stacey, Robbie and Addie, who didn't know it, but was going to be a Birthday Girl early -- to her suprise!

Stacey planned an afternoon suprise trip to the American Girl store and Addie got to pick out her birthday present/doll after we had dessert in the American Girl bistro, where dolls get special chairs to sit at the table. The Mommy and I split chocolate fondue, Caroline had carrots.
I don't have the words to describe the marketing to kids juggernaut that American Girl is.

$20 to style your doll's hair. Seriously.

But Addie had a great time and is really enjoying having Rebecca in the family.
